Built Capable is a strength and conditioning planner. By using it, you agree to the terms below.

Not medical advice. Consult a physician before starting or changing an exercise program, especially if you have an injury, a health condition, are pregnant, or have been inactive. Built Capable does not know your medical history and cannot tell you whether an exercise or a load is safe for you.

What Built Capable is

Built Capable generates a workout from the equipment you have, lets you adjust it, and runs and logs the session. The exercises, sets, reps, rest periods, loads, and progression suggestions are general programming, not a plan built for your body, experience, or goals. Treat every number as a starting point to adjust.

Your training is your responsibility

You are responsible for your own technique, warm-up, load selection, and knowing your limits.
Start lighter than you think while you learn a movement. Progress gradually.
Stop immediately if you feel sharp pain, dizziness, chest discomfort, or loss of control, and seek medical advice.
Train in a safe space with equipment that is in good condition.

Acceptable use

Use Built Capable for your own personal, non-commercial training.
Do not copy, resell, or redistribute the app or its content.
Do not attempt to disrupt, attack, or misuse the service.

Subscription and billing

Built Capable is a paid subscription. The price is $15 per month in US dollars. New accounts start with a 7-day free trial. A payment method is collected when you subscribe, but nothing is charged during the trial.

The trial converts automatically. At the end of the 7 days, the card on file is charged $15 and the subscription begins, unless you cancelled first.
It renews monthly on the same date, at the then-current price, until you cancel.
Cancel any time from Manage billing in your account. Cancelling stops the next charge; you keep access until the end of the period you have already paid for. We do not cancel your subscription for you.
If a payment fails, the card is retried for a short period and access continues for a grace period. If it still fails, access ends.
Refunds. Payments are non-refundable, including partial months. The 7-day trial is there so you can decide before paying anything, and cancelling always stops the next charge. If something has genuinely gone wrong — you were charged twice, or charged after cancelling — email us and we will put it right.
Price changes apply only to future billing periods, and you will be told before one takes effect. If you do not want the new price, cancel before it applies.

Built Capable is offered in the United States only. We collect a billing address when you subscribe, and by subscribing you confirm you are a US resident. We may cancel and refund a subscription bought from outside the US.

Payments are processed by Stripe. Your card details go to Stripe and are never seen or stored by Built Capable. See the Privacy page for what that means for your data.

Cancelling does not delete your training. Your logs and plans stay in your account, and they are there if you subscribe again. To have them deleted instead, email us.

Your data

Your plans, logs, and equipment settings are kept on your device and on our server, under the account you sign in with — that is what lets the same training show up on your phone and your laptop. They stay yours: we make no claim to them, and we do not sell them or use them to train anything. Ask us and we delete the account and everything in it. Provided "as is"

Built Capable is provided as is, without warranties of any kind. To the fullest extent permitted by law, the maker of Built Capable is not liable for any injury, loss, or damage arising from your use of the app or from any training decision you make in reliance on its content. Your use of the app, and all exercise you do, is at your own risk.

Changes

These terms may change as the app develops. Material changes will be reflected in the "last updated" date above. Continuing to use the app after a change means you accept the updated terms.

Who you are contracting with, and where

Built Capable is operated by Capability Actual. These terms are governed by the laws of the State of California, without regard to conflict-of-law rules.
